Edinburgh People’s Theatre shows run throughout the year, typically at Festival, Christmas, March and May.

Our two major shows, the Festival and pantomime take place at Mayfield Salisbury Church Hall and the Churchill Theatre respectively. Festival takes the form of a traditional Scots Comedy, often coupled with a separate show in the third week. At Christmas time, our cast of many takes over Morningside, performing the likes of Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Aladdin and more to sold out audiences.

Throughout the rest of the year, we are hard at work putting on a range of shows. Recently, these have included Anne Frank, Cambusdonald Royal, Takin’ Over the Asylum, Blackadder Goes Forth and of course, many more.

We also have a proud heritage of encouraging members to write their own plays. Alan Cochrane, Irene Beaver, James Scotland and John Somerville have each created quality plays, often winning awards for their talents.

You can find a detailed archive of past shows from our inception in 1943 via our downloads section. Alternatively, why not contact us for more information?
