With just under a month to go, it’s time to check in and see how things are progressing in Panto land.
On stage, the rehearsals are going well .
The scripts are down, the songs and dances are learnt and the Kung foo moves have been mastered! Now the hard work of polishing and perfecting begins.
It’s not just our cast who have been working hard though! Putting on a show like Aladdin takes a whole team of people off stage to make the magic happen. They’ve been building sets (everything from a washing machine to a palace), sourcing props (it’s not easy finding the perfect lamp), sewing costumes (have you ever tried to make a panda suit?) and prepping lighting and sound (genies need a big entrance you know). We can’t wait for you all to see the final product on that Churchill stage.
So now the front and back stage are progressing nicely it’s time to hit the publicity trail. Nobby was out and about at the Marie Curie autumn bake and craft sale last weekend. The day itself was a massive success raising £6,209 for the charity and loads of people came to see us to grab a balloon or sticker or just high five Nobby himself.
Next up is our flyering day at the end of the month so if you see a giant panda on the lose in Morningside…come over and say hi!
In the meantime make sure you get online and get those tickets purchased as our matinee shows are selling out fast and you won’t want to miss this genie-us production.
